About the performance, in both English and Norwegian below.
ENG: In this performance we meet the mysterious dancing marionettes of Berit på Pynten. When Berit plays her langeleik, both small and large marionettes start dancing. How does she make it happen? Is there some kind of magic in the old music that brings them to life? And is it really any fun to be a dancing marionette, when you only get to dance when someone else decides? "Danse mi dokke, springe min hest" is based on a tradition that is several hundred years old: dancing marionettes for langeleikspel. The story of the performance revolves around Berit på Pynten, a famous langeleik player who lived in Valdres in the 19th century.
