The kitchen. It is where it all starts. Conversations, baking, fun breakfasts, necessary dinners, but also hosting and entertaining. This is where we get our dishes dirty and teach our children how to chop fruit and spread butter on and around slices of bread. This is where we bake pepperkaker, glaze them, and eat them, too. Perhaps you'd like to pick an extra special tablecloth for this evening's meal, light a few candles, or simply cover your day's sourdough loaf with a French linen towel (I've heard that the best bowl to prep the sourdough dough in is a ceramic bowl, and the best kind of towel to cover it with is a linen one-- breathes better, that's all).
There is nothing in here that we do not love and that we would not use ourselves.
