Loré is a visual artist living with her husband and three daughters in the northern woods of Vermont, USA, tucked between a mountain and a river in what they fondly call Cold Hollow. For her illustrations, she draws inspiration from the magic of childhood, the natural world, and the wonder of everyday parenting: "It always amazes me how a bit of yarn, a stick, and an open place to move is all you need to activate the magic of imagination." Currently, she is working on her own book of children’s illustrations.

A February Ramble is a 25x20cm reproduction of the original gouache painting, printed with archival inks on cold-pressed watercolor paper to create a museum-quality print, resistant to fading and yellowing. Mother and child take a walk in the forest as the slow starts melting, making way for the first glimpses of renewed life and spring. The chimney is still smoking and wool is still queen.
