Alexandra and Florin, the couple behind POEMI, are passionate self-taught ceramic artists who began their clay journey in 2016 in Sibiu, Romania. With no prior experience, they dedicated themselves to mastering the art of pottery. They started with a small kiln that they keep to this day as a reminder of their humble beginnings, and since have designed custom tableware for restaurants around the world while promoting sustainable and durable ceramics for daily use. Inspired by childhood memories and the beauty of everyday life, their POEMI collections tell unique stories of connection around shared meals: "The plaster on the walls of the house, the passing of seasons which puts its mark on all and everything, the table with the three-legged chairs we used to eat at, the wooden tray where the bread was kneaded."

Handcrafted from speckled beige stoneware, this handcrafted cup is made for flat white, cappuccino or filter coffee, offering the perfect balance of size, comfort and drinking pleasure. It is finished in an organic cream glaze made in-house from recycled stoneware and reclaimed wood ash, giving it a natural, raw finish and a warm, earthy character. As the wood ash varies from batch to batch, each cup has its own subtle differences in colour and intensity, making every piece truly one of a kind.
