Iris Hantverk was born in the 1900s in Stockholm as a small brush manufacturer. Now they are 17 employees and the owners, Sara and Richard, are continuing the tradition. Their core remains the brush binding manufacturing at Sandsborgsvägen, Enskede – where 6 visually impaired crafts-folk from different backgrounds make brushes according to an old Swedish tradition. They also work with visually impaired craftsmen in Estonia.

This bath brush is made of oil-treated oak and horse hair. Horse hair is an excellent material in bathing brushes because it is soft and pliable while being sturdy and durable with a certain elasticity. When used with a good soap, it gives a soft and comfortable lather for a perfect cleaning. It can also be used for dry brushing, if you would prefer it.

care: allow the brush to dry hanging or standing on the horsehair so that the water is transported away from the wood that is more sensitive to moisture.
