Loré is a visual artist living with her husband and three daughters in the northern woods of Vermont, USA, tucked between a mountain and a river in what they fondly call Cold Hollow. For her illustrations, she draws inspiration from the magic of childhood, the natural world, and the wonder of everyday parenting: "It always amazes me how a bit of yarn, a stick, and an open place to move is all you need to activate the magic of imagination." Currently, she is working on her own book of children’s illustrations.
The Beekeepers postcard is a 12x12cm reproduction of the original gouache painting, printed with archival inks on cold-pressed watercolor paper to create a museum-quality print, resistant to fading and yellowing. Bees are incredible workers. They make the honey we love, help with pollinating the plants that eventually grow to bear fruit, for us, for the animals, for the insects. They fulfill their role in the circle of life.
