Lieke van der Vorst, the illustrator behind Liekeland, grew up in Kaatsheuvel, a small town in The Netherlands, but now resides with her family in Eindhoven. She uses traditional materials like colored pencils, pens and oil paints. Nature is a recurring theme in her work, capturing a sense of positivity while still addressing serious issues. She uses her illustrations to make a positive impact and to inspire all to be more aware of the little things.
All Liekeland illustrations use uncoated, off-white 300g Munken paper by Swedish producer Arctic Paper who uses only minimal amounts of water and energy to produce this ecological and FSC-certified paper. This paper is then printed on by Netherlands-based Art Libro.
The stadstuin poster measures 80 x 60cm and comes enclosed in a tube made of firm cardboard. Every print is signed.
