Alexandra and Florin, the couple behind POEMI, are passionate self-taught ceramic artists who began their clay journey in 2016 in Sibiu, Romania. With no prior experience, they dedicated themselves to mastering the art of pottery. They started with a small kiln that they keep to this day as a reminder of their humble beginnings, and since have designed custom tableware for restaurants around the world while promoting sustainable and durable ceramics for daily use. Inspired by childhood memories and the beauty of everyday life, their POEMI collections tell unique stories of connection around shared meals: "The plaster on the walls of the house, the passing of seasons which puts its mark on all and everything, the table with the three-legged chairs we used to eat at, the wooden tray where the bread was kneaded."

Its pearl white, semi-matte glaze comes alive in the kiln, taking on gentle shifts in color and depth, while fine black speckles, like tiny vanilla bean seeds, give it a quiet character all its own Soft cream-colored accents may also appear along the rim and edges, adding to its natural beauty. With a shape that sits comfortably in the hand and a balanced, timeless look, every cup stands out on its own.
