Sanne Hop, the creator, founder, and shopkeeper of Hop Atelier, manages a magical home and makers collective in Amsterdam, NL. There are many a direct flights from Norwegian cities to Amsterdam, so when you find yourself in this multifaceted European capital, make time to stop by Sanne's shop at Fokke Simonszstraat 10. Sanne's everyday is an ode to her grandmother, her grandfather and her parents, who were all retailers back in their time, running their small shops with full commitment.

These candles are rolled and shaped by Sanne's hands, and are made of pure beeswax. They stand raw and majestic standing like trees, hence their name. These shades are mixed by hand using Stockmar wax crayons and depending on the batch, they may slightly differ from those in the images.

The forest candle, 27.5cm tall and around 2.5cm diameter, will likely not fit a standard candle-holder. Get creative instead and warm its base just enough for it to stick to and stand on your vessel of choice. They burn beautifully and dramatically, with lots of sculptural drip.

Please practice fire safety, and never leave a burning candle unattended.
