Loré is a visual artist living with her husband and three daughters in the northern woods of Vermont, USA, tucked between a mountain and a river in what they fondly call Cold Hollow. For her illustrations, she draws inspiration from the magic of childhood, the natural world, and the wonder of everyday parenting: "It always amazes me how a bit of yarn, a stick, and an open place to move is all you need to activate the magic of imagination." Currently, she is working on her own book of children’s illustrations.
The Lady of the Garden postcard is a 18x12cm reproduction of the original gouache painting, printed with archival inks on cold-pressed watercolor paper to create a museum-quality print, resistant to fading and yellowing. This girl definitely has green fingers and this place she lives in seems to be getting the right amount of rain but also the right amount of sunshine. I hear that ducks are great for keeping slugs and snail populations under control (hehe).
