Iris Hantverk was born in the 1900s in Stockholm as a small brush manufacturer. Now they are 17 employees and the owners, Sara and Richard, are continuing the tradition. Their core remains the brush binding manufacturing at Sandsborgsvägen, Enskede – where 6 visually impaired crafts-folk from different cultures make brushes according to an old Swedish tradition. They also work with visually impaired craftsmen in Estonia.
Loofah is a natural sponge that can be used to exfoliate the skin. This sponge can also be cut into smaller pieces and used as a cleaning sponge in the kitchen or as a soap disk to drain water away from the soap bar. The Loofah sponge is a dried fruit (related to cucumber and zucchini.) and can be added to the compost when used up; an all around product and a very sustainable choice for the home! The loofah sponge is between 15 and 20 cm long.
