our period is peaceful lino print

Eliza (@landofthelalla) travels full time with her daughter. She works to help women reclaim the sacredness of their Menstrual Cycle. While she was temporarily based in the UK, she and I exchanged voice messages and connected in our conversations on many levels, as mothers, as women, as souls. As an artist, Eliza combines her passion for lino printing with sharing her message with (women around) the world. She designed and printed a set of unique quotes and figures for us in an ink we settled on together, as an indigo that feels raw and goes back to origins -- blue is in many ways the color of our blood flowing through our veins. Both Eliza and I hope they will inspire you to reclaim your superpowers through the magic that is your menstrual cycle.

Eliza proposed three empowering quotes to describe our relationship with menstruation in a tone that challenges the stigma we have grown up with: shame. This is Our Period Is Peaceful, a lino print in two copies (each one with the unicity of the creator's hands touching the paper and then allowing it to dry freely). Each sheet measures 40 x 26.5 cm, while the lino print itself covers roughly 15 x 11 cm.
