pressed flowers brooch

Orka is a ceramic artist from Romania who makes sculptures, art pieces and jewellery. She paints, draws, and uses pressed flowers on her handmade ceramic statement brooches. She developed an own clay formula to have a strong, resistant ceramic-like surface on which to draw. Her fascination with Surrealism, is hinted at in her work through a variety of mediums and techniques.

Each brooch is unique, oval shaped with the semi-major axis (width) measuring approximately 6cm. They fasten onto clothes with a pin secured on their backside. Since they are ceramic, they may break if dropped onto hard surfaces.
