Iris Hantverk was born in the 1900s in Stockholm as a small brush manufacturer. Now they are 17 employees and the owners, Sara and Richard, are continuing the tradition. Their core remains the brush binding manufacturing at Sandsborgsvägen, Enskede – where 6 visually impaired crafts-folk from different cultures make brushes according to an old Swedish tradition. They also work with visually impaired craftsmen in Estonia.
Testing how the cake is baking is an important part of the process, because ovens are different and batters are different. how many times has your carrot cake come out unbaked at its core? It is annoying when that happens, is it not? This is a cake tester that can be used over and over again, cleaned well and stored gingerly in the drawer. Its handle is made of oil-treated birch wood.
