Archivist was founded in 1998 by Sarah and William Allardice. As the name might suggest, they began in the archives of the Natural History Museum. Although the archives have changed, their enthusiasm for hunting for images has not gone. They've collaborated with artists all over the world to create, including the design of their luxury matches. The brand aims to create timeless pieces that imbue a sense of fun, as well as to be useful.
Archivist’s sea-inspired keepsake luxury matches are designed by Tabby Booth and made in India from FSC wood. They are hand packaged in printed boxes, whilst the designs on their upper side offer universal app
eal and may even double as greeting cards. Matchstick color may vary from image. Each box contains 75 matches, each measuring 10cm long. When the box is done, refill or cut out the front image to send as a postcard to someone dear or use it as bookmark.
