MATCA is an Atelier de Parfumerie based in Sibiu, Romania, with a mission to create bold and clean-label essences made only with ingredients derived from nature. Their fragrances are the modern expression of an ancient craft. In their studio, MATCA bring together precious oils, resins, extracts, absolutes coming from far and mysterious places, and they let themselves be transported and inspired by these elements to create daring, , unisex scents that blend so uniquely with the chemistry of your skin. At the core of their work stand unfaltering their love for the living plants, respect for environment, and the wellbeing of their customers. Their solid perfumes are cruelty-free, with no added synthetic preservatives or denatured alcohol.
MATCA's solid perfumes are made from beeswax and natural oils and come in a generous case (5 g take a you a looong long way). They capture five scents:
rosa damascena: damascus rose + sandalwood + vanilla + patchouli (the one of the mystical and ancient flower-the rose-at the center of works of poets, artists, and perfumers alike)
holy wood: palo santo + vetiver + cedar + sandalwood + frankincense + neroli (the one woody balancing scent to use even in your meditation practices)
jasmin sambac: jasmine sambac (the one sensual relaxing scent of "la fleur" de jasmine)
floralith: star jasmine + sandalwood + bergamot + grapefruit + pink pepper + geranium bourbon + lavandin + patchouli + vanilla (the one light, invigorating, and delicate perfume—perfect for summer—airy florals and sparkling fresh notes)
overdose C₈H₁₀N₄O₂ (the chemical formula for caffeine): coffee + vanilla + tobacco + black pepper + frangipani + sugar (the one where the round bitterness of freshly ground beans, the warmth rising from a just-poured cup, the comfort it brings without asking for attention, stays with you even after the cup has emptied)
black tonka: tonka + cocoa + vanilla + patchouli + turmeric root + beeswax honey (the one that transports you, as if stepping into a sacred temple steeped in aromatic offerings)
