Marina, Mia's mother, is a comic book illustrator and writer based in Stavanger. This is her birthing story told in her own, unique, honest, supernatural way. 

Through comics, Marina explored her mental health challenges after becoming a mother, finding creativity a helpful escape and a way to understand her emotions and manage her postpartum period. Her comics have since resonated with other mothers, making it easier to start conversations about the often feared and stigmatized topic of mental health. That time is her first comic book detailing her childbirth experiences and the emotions they brought.
