the green ship - by quentin blake

My kids received this book for Christmas and love it on repeat. We have been enjoying it together, too. Join two bold young adventurers as they climb over the wall into the overgrown garden next door. There they find a ship made of bushes, the Green Ship, with tall, thin trees for masts, and meet the marvelous Mrs Tredegar, who trains them into a proper crew. With their imaginations at the ready, they set off on a series of glorious voyages. This is a warm story about imagination and friendship from Quentin Blake, whose books and illustrations are loved by children everywhere. Blake's many awards include the Whitbread Award, the Hans Christian Andersen Award for Illustration and the Kate Greenaway Medal. A perfect choice for young readers and anyone who loves a good adventure.
