Loré is a visual artist living with her husband and three daughters in the northern woods of Vermont, USA, tucked between a mountain and a river in what they fondly call Cold Hollow. For her illustrations, she draws inspiration from the magic of childhood, the natural world, and the wonder of everyday parenting: "

It always amazes me how a bit of yarn, a stick, and an open place to move is all you need to activate the magic of imagination." Currently, she is working on her own book of children’s illustrations.

Year of Whimsy is a collection of art prints inspired by simple childhood joys. It welcomes you to find the first marsh marigolds, read to the daffodils, write to a penpal, climb to the top of a tree & to see the world as a child in Spring, Summer, Autumn, & Winter. Prints are reproduced after Loré Pemberton's original gouache paintings, each 20.3 cm x 20.3 cm (20.3 cm x 40.6 cm unfolded), printed in the USA on watercolor texture paper throughout. Outer / inner papers are 270gsm and 150gsm with a drilled hole for hanging.
